Amanda Wheeler
Lead Designer and Studio Director
Amanda grew up in a beautifully decorated home in Arroyo Grande, where every season was thoughtfully reflected in her surroundings. Her mother’s impeccable taste sparked Amanda’s early fascination with design and ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in the field.
Drawn to the Pacific Northwest — perhaps by the ever-present aroma of coffee — Amanda attended Oregon State University, earning her degree in Interior Design in 2014. She launched her career with a prominent Oregon-based design/build firm specializing in kitchen and bath remodels. Over the next five years, she contributed to multiple award-winning projects and met her wonderful husband. Though she loved Oregon, Amanda missed her roots on the Central Coast. In 2020, she and her husband made the move back to California, and she joined the Design Collaborative team, where she has enjoyed expanding into commercial design.
Amanda still carries her PNW love for coffee and is an avid true crime enthusiast. When she’s not listening to a podcast, you’ll likely find her rewatching Gilmore Girls — her go-to comfort show.
