Serena Waddel, NCIDQ
Lead Designer
Serena grew up on the Monterey Peninsula, surrounded by artists and the rugged natural beauty of California’s iconic coastline. Later, during her college years in Hawai‘i, she continued to be shaped by extraordinary landscapes — experiences that have deeply influenced her approach to design. From an early age, Serena recognized the powerful connection between people and their environments. Naturally intuitive and thoughtful, she uses interior design as a way to craft spaces that reflect both a project’s sense of place and the people who inhabit it.
She earned degrees in English and Anthropology from the University of Hawai‘i before returning to school to pursue a degree in Interior Design at Chaminade University. Now an NCIDQ-certified designer, Serena brings a well-rounded perspective and a strong foundation in design conceptualization, space planning, and construction documentation. Her portfolio encompasses a diverse range of project types, including custom and multifamily residential, civic and tenant improvements, fire stations, and luxury hotels.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Serena in the garden with her husband and dog, backpacking in the Sierras, or riding her bike on a local adventure.
